19th CENTURY PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPH

The Tesla Studios was a large photographic studio based in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney. At one stage the studio was so large that it occupied half of the third floor area of Sydney's biggest building the Queen Victoria Markets and employed nearly 100 staff.
In 1898, the proprietor there was Mr L.Nagel.
The Studio became well known for enlargements and restorations of old, faded or 'mutilated' photographs.
This photograph is c.1895, professionally mounted on a studio backboard which is marked TESLA STUDIOS
It measures 7 5/8 in. (19.4cm.) by 5 3/8 in. (13.7cm.) and the board measures 11 in. (28cm. by 8 in. (20cm.)
CONDITION - In good original condition and showing very little wear consistent with age and use. A tiny tatter to the left hand bottom corner is all I can see.
